WWEA General Assembly Elects New Board: 
Dr. Irfan Afzal Mirza has been re-elected as WWEA President – Vice Presidents from around the World

WWEA General Assembly Elects New Board: 

Dr. Irfan Afzal Mirza has been re-elected as WWEA President – Vice Presidents from around the World

Bonn, 28 November 2024 (WWEA) – The WWEA General Assembly has elected the new board for a term of two years. Dr. Irfan Mirza, who took over the Presidency from Hon. Peter Rae one year ago, has been unanimously re-elected as WWEA President.  As Vice Presidents have been elected, also unanimously:  Prof. Dr. Chuichi Arakawa, Japan Zeeshan Ashfaq, Pakistan Heinrich Bartelt, Germany Khalid Benhamou, Morocco Qin Haiyan, China Dr. Karunamoorthy Neethimani, India Monica Oliphant, Australia Dr. Ibrahim Togola, Mali Prof. Dr. Tanay Sidki Uyar, Turkey 

WWEA President Dr. Irfan Mirza: “I am deeply honored and humbled by the confidence place in me by the General Assembly to continue to serve as President of WWEA. This opportunity is a privilege and a responsibility that I accept with utmost sincerity and dedication. As we embark on this new chapter, I look forward to working with the newly elected members of the Board and the Secretary General of WWEA. Together, we will focus on strengthening our global impact, fostering innovative collaborations, and championing wind energy as an integral solution to the challenges of our time. I believe this represents a collective opportunity to build on the progress we have achieved as an organization. The true strength of WWEA lies in its dedicated members, its committed Board, and the shared vision that brings us together.” WWEA Secretary General Stefan Gsänger: “Congratulations to Dr. Irfan Mirza and to all board members elected for the unanimous support expressed by the members of our association.
