Prince Albert II of Monaco has taken the wheel of Extreme H’s hydrogen-powered prototype racing car, as the five-time Olympian temporarily swapped the bobsleigh for motorsports.

Ahead of the Monaco Hydrogen Alliance’s annual forum, His Serene Highness took the Pioneer 25 for a drive, navigating from the Palace of Monaco through the principality’s streets, renowned as the backdrop for its iconic Formula One (F1) races.

“It was my pleasure to be the first to try out this remarkable race car, here in Monaco, a country which is proud to host the most iconic racing across F1 and Formula E,” Prince Albert II explained.
